A lovely walk route (following parts of the Fred Perry Way and GM Ringway trails) taking us through the greenbelt land in some of the outlying villages and suburbs of the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport.

This route is mainly on good paths, although it can be slightly uneven (undulating) and muddy in parts.

Please be aware that we will have to cross over two stiles and land with horses in them and also, we will have to cross over a railway bridge at the beginning of the walk in Hazel Grove.

There  are several bail out options to cut the journey short as the route goes via roads with bus stops that you can catch buses back to Stockport town centre, say if there is bad weather or if you just don’t want to do the full length of the walk.

Please no dogs unless they are guide/assistance dogs.

Please wear footwear(with a good sole) for walking - please for your own safety, no Crocs/sandals.
