Once again owing to a rail strike I will have to postpone the Herts Beds 3 walk from Stevenage to Hitchin, originally planned for 2 June. I now plan to run the walk on Weds 5 July. The details should be included in the forthcoming walks programme.
We are a friendly, socially active Ramblers Group welcoming all who enjoy walking. Our walks programme is extensive and varied covering all days of the week.
We resume our Herts/Beds trail last walked in September 2021. We get out of Stevenage as fast a possible by crossing the A1M, then into open country. Passing through the villages of St Ippollytts and Gosmore (pub/picnic), we then walk through Hitchin town via Hitchin Hill. FP holders purchase OPDR from Hadley Wood to Hitchin (£9.15 with railcard). Meet walk leader at Blackfriars station at 10.25 (platform 2, but check platform on the day). Travelling from Sutton get 09:46 to Blackfriars (arrives 10.24), and change there for 10:37 to Stevenage. Let me know (by text) if you want a pub lunch, by Monday 29th May.
