Overview

With the clocks having moved forward one hour at Easter we have an opportunity to stretch our legs on this lovely 12.3-mile walk over the Barton Hills to Lilley returning via Deacon Hill. Consider bringing walking poles.

REDUCED FROM ORIGINAL PLAN OF 14 MILES DUE TO EXCESS RAIN IN FEB/MAR AND SLIPPERRY MUD AND CHALK ON SOME HILLS

Bring a picnic. We can eat our sandwiches in the churchyard at Lilley before popping into the pub for a drink.
