Join us at the Whatstandwell Train Station car park for a delightful outing. Parking is available at a rate of £2 per day, though please note that parking by the wharf is limited.
Our journey will begin along the scenic Cromford Canal, where we'll make our way across the A6 before venturing upwards through the enchanting Birch Wood, eventually arriving at the stunning Black Rocks area. Be prepared for some potentially muddy sections, although the majority of our path will be well-trodden.
For those in need, there are toilet facilities at the Black Rocks car park, although please be aware that the kiosk will be closed for the winter season. After a well-deserved lunch break, we'll descend the hill towards High Peak Junction, where you'll find another toilet stop to freshen up.
Our return route will take us along the picturesque Cromford Canal, leading us back to Whatstandwell. If time permits, we may consider enjoying some post-excursion refreshments at the Family Tree. See you there!
Please join us for this event and many others by RSVPing on our website.
