We pass historic and modern boats and ships in Bristol Harbour, head into Ashton Court country park for views of the magnificent red deer, then cross the Clifton Suspension Bridge and pass along beautiful Georgian terraces and through charming green spaces in Clifton, before heading back to the YHA.
Bring a drink, and a light picnic lunch, for a couple of short refreshment stops.
Most of the route is paved, but woodland paths at Ashton Court could be muddy, and there’s one short steep uphill section in Ashton Court. There are public toilets along the route.
The walk is free, but please book your place by texting Jeff on 07985 024650 or emailing harbourwalk@bristolramblers.org.uk - the YHA is providing free cake and hot drinks at the end of the walk and would like to know numbers.
If you're travelling into Bristol by train, allow 20 minutes to walk from Temple Meads station to the waterfront entrance of the YHA.
