Overview

From the Plume of Feathers pub we cross the Hitchin to Bedford Road and take the paths to the Icknield way, skirting along the edge of the Oughtonhead conservation area, as far as Punch's Cross. We then take the bridleway alongside the Pirton Road, and turn right along paths to Toot Hill. Skirting the recreation ground we pick up the Icknield Way Trail (not to be confused with the Icknield Way) back to Ickleford.
