Overview

Leisurely walk (two inclines of note) circular walk 7.7 miles (5.60 miles before lunch & 2.09 after). Park & start:  Heather Farm & Wetlands  GU214XY. Toilets at start including refreshments.

Mainly flat easy walking paths very gentle undulations. Long woodland trails, wetlands with boardwalks, lake, heath, grassy plains and towpath. This is a fascinating walk of great variety, featuring long woodland trails, many of them unsigned, punctuated by some considerable surprises. Some of the paths on the north side are muddy in a wet winter but the lack of fencing means you can usually skip to either side.
Meet BBT 08:45 for car share. Walk starts 10:00.

If taking refreshments at start, please get at start in plenty of time (Suggest 09:30). Those requiring pub lunch text me by noon 5th Sept 24. Pub/picnic. Pub is The Wheatsheaf, Horsell.
