Overview

A pleasant circular walk through farmland, woods and lowland health. From the pretty village of Hotham, we proceed down a quiet lane and farm tracks into woodland at Hotham Carrs. From the quaintly named Duck Nest Plantation, we reach two areas of open access heathland with heather & purple moorland glass; then on to Bunny Hill and South Cliffe Common. After a short steep climb at South Cliffe, the route then arrives at the edge of Houghton woods with wonderful views of the Wolds. Finally we will take the public bridleway which eventually leads back to Hotham,  there will be a snack break and a picnic lunch stop;
