Howards Way Walk from Bursledon Station Car Park which is free
From Bursledon Station there is a scenic walk via Mallards Moor woodland path, then crossing the road to a disused airfield and on to Hamble where there is a cafe. We catch the pink Ferry, please bring £2.50 cash only to cross the River Hamble to Warsash. Please note the ferry crossing is weather dependent and only a limited number of people can cross at a time. Therefore, we may have to wait to get everyone across. It might be a good idea to bring a jacket in case it is cold.
Depending on the time we arrive at Hamble, lunch will either be at the Hamble cafe or at the end of the walk. There are plenty of pubs after the walk including the Jolly Sailor where Howards' Way was filmed. You may prefer to bring a packed lunch.
The leader, Deborah, will be travelling by train and should arrive at Bursledon Station at 10.21am.
Assistance dogs only please.
We may be joined on the walk by SABRE members.
