Update 6 July - very hot weather is currently forecast and so this walk may be cancelled and an easier woodland walk from Bubbenhall offered instead. A decision will be made on Friday evening and this webpage updated by 8.00pm Friday, barring any technical issues.
We’ll start out from the beautiful Cotswold village of Ilmington and gradually make our way to the top of Ebrington Hill, which at the lofty height of 261m is the highest point in Warwickshire ! We’ll then head to Hidcote Manor, Mickleton, around Meon Hill and back to Ilmington.
The walk is quite hilly in places, but nothing super steep. There is some road walking. There are likely to be some short overgrown sections. There are a handful of stiles, a couple of which are decidedly wonky.
Barring any unexpected closure there will be toilets at Hidcote Manor - an NT card would be useful but is not essential.
It’s July so it could be a hot day - extra water, a hat and sun protection is strongly recommended.
