Route Details:   From the parking we walk through a wooded area, before the route opens up into a pasture. Crossing a bridleway we continue on,  crossing the delightfully named Piddle Brook  (please, no adding to it....) which takes us to the outskirts of the hamlet of Abbot's Morton, where can be seen the earthwork remains of a moated house, which the Abbots of Evesham used as a country retreat in the  16th Century. The village can also lay claim to be featured on  Blue Peter in 1981, when the Postmistress' cat called Lucky  attacked and saw off some would be burglars. Unfortunately he couldn't live up to his name - he was knocked down and  killed by a car a few months later outside the same post office....   Walking on, we get to Goom's Hill, but at 85 meters ASL is  not much of one; after a short road section we turn right off  the road and back into fields and to Slade Wood; an ascending path takes us through there, and to our coffee stop as we come  out of the wood.   After coffee, we walk along a track which follows the contours of  Rough Hill until we meet another country road as far as  Franklin's Lane, a track which we follow as far as Atch Lench,  whereupon we turn back into pastureland, eventually reaching our lunch stop at The Lenches' Club, in Church Lench. As well as  offering real ales, they have also given us kind permission to eat our sandwiches there.   After lunch we take a path which descends then ascends through  Old Yew Hill Wood and Yeald Wood, and on to the 3rd 'Lench of the day, Rous Lench. After passing the 12th Century church we take another right turn,  passing close to the other side of Slade Wood, but this time following the contours, not crossing them.  Continuing on, we cross Piddle Brook for the second time and thenceforward back to the cars.
