Walks Coordinator
The walk heads towards Oxley’s Green and from there Brightling. Lunch is at the church before returning via Twelve Oaks, Mansbrook, Coblye and Prinkle Woods.
At the highest point there are fine views over the Darwell valley and towards the coast. There is also an awful lot of mud especially towards the end of the walk. Walking poles, if you have them, are advised. Thankfully there are only a few stiles.
Bring your own drinks and picnic.

The walk starts from Darwell Wood car park just outside Brightling. The small car park at the entrance to Darwell Wood is run by Forestry England. Estimate room for +/- 15 cars. Car sharing would be appreciated.
