This is a circular walk going through marshland, open fields, and woodland.
Herstmonceux is a village with many claims to fame, and the walk reveals some of these !
The ground was firm when recently walked , however this could change, and there maybe some mud therefore, poles advised. There are also several stiles.
Bring your own drinks and picnic.

The walk starts from Herstmonceux recreation ground car park (free), Hailsham Road, Herstmonceux. Coming from A271, Hailsham Road - Fiennes Road is on your left, you will then see a sign for the recreation ground, the entrance to the recreation ground is immediately opposite the sign via a narrow lane. Coming from Herstmonceux - Take exit at the mini roundabout towards Hailsham. Herstmonceux Primary School is on your left , you will then see a sign for the recreation ground. The entrance to the recreation ground is on the left via a narrow lane.
