Overview

This undulating walk goes in a clockwise direction heading down through Sheffield Forest and up Perryman’s Hill towards Chelwood Corner. The walk goes along quiet country lanes and several different woodland paths. We cross open fields and through part of Ashdown Forest. There are a couple of steep uphill gulleys where poles would be helpful. The going is generally good, with some more squelchy parts. We then walk past Chelwood Vachery and cross the busy A22, to walk beside Pippingford Park and up onto the forest before returning to Nutley.
