We are the Glasgow Young Walkers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Join Ramblers Scotland’s Glasgow Young Walkers for a Saturday afternoon stroll along the Kelvin Walkway from Glasgow’s Riverside Museum to the heart of Milngavie and the start of the West Highland Way.
There are 8 spaces on this walk, if the walk is full please sign up as a "maybe" and I will get in contact if there is a space.
We’ll meet at the Riverside Museum at the car park at 11am and make our way along the River Kelvin to Milngavie. The return journey will be by train, unless anyone has a strong urge to do it in reverse!
Make sure to bring lunch and snacks!
This Walk isn’t generally challenging, but can be muddy (given the weather recently, it WILL be muddy) and there are lots of stiles, so please wear sturdy walking boots, bring full waterproofs and generally bring everything you would for a walk up a hill.
