Overview

A fair distance but almost entirely flat.
The route goes east from the car park roughly following Finham Brook. Entering into the common we pick up the disused railway Coventry Way heading North. We follow this path all the way up to Burton Green after a little detour to avoid the new HS2, we turn off west to cross fields and join the Millennium Way to return south.
On the return we approach Kenilworth castle from the North with excellent uninterrupted views of the structure, seen across the fields as has been for centuries. Circumventing the castle walls antilock wise we return Abbey fields and back to the start.
There are toilets at the swimming pool in Abbey Fields, which may be open. Bring packed lunch, it will be muddy, it could rain(as usual)
