From the car park we walk along a quiet country lane and then head downhill over fields with gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside. After a short walk through the woods we reach the quaint village of Foxcote. Proceeding along a track by a golf course and fields we begin a fairly long steady climb upwards and then still going upwards along a paved path of a horse racing stud. It is here after the climb we stop for refreshments. Again there are great views and after a few more fields we reach a wood which can be muddy in places. After exiting the wood the remainder of the wa;k is over fields with lovely views The first part is another short and steady climb with the remainder being flat before our return to the country lane that leads back to the car park..Three stiles, one refreshment break and no steep climbs.
The Group encourages car sharing from the Meeting Point. If you wish to go to the start point instead of joining the walk at the Meeting Point, please contact the Walk Leader who will tell you the Start Point and Time. Travel donation £3.
This walk is a different walk from the same starting point on the 11th February as at the top of the country lane we turn left rather than right
