Taking footpaths to Chiphouse Wood, which can be muddy after rain, across to the Long Plantation and around the Surrey Downs GC. Some residential/road walking and some inclines.
Optional refreshments in pub or café after walk.
GWR have advised that the level crossing at the bottom of Pebblehill Road (B2032) will be closed at the weekend. May affect walkers travelling to Kingswood.
Meet at Kingswood Station CP £2.40 daily charge on Sundays, pay by phone or at the ticket machine. Alternatively park by the shops in Waterhouse Lane, unrestricted on Sundays. The leaders can offer some spaces on their drive, by arrangement. If you park in the pub car park you must submit your car registration or risk a fine. Travel by train to Kingswood station, Hourly trains from Coulsdon and Tattenham Corner.
