We are the Stourbridge Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Pretty walk varying from vast open plains with stunning views as well as pleasant wooded areas. We’ll pass the church of St John the Baptist which stands in solitary grandeur 3/4 of a mile along the driveway from the village to Kinlet Hall. It is the last remnant of the old village that stood on this site for anything up to a millennium and probably replaced a wooden church on the same site before the Normans came and built in stone. Time can be spent there if the group so desire, it was a village of importance in royal ownership well before the Domesday survey was carried out. Some undulations.
Car share available... there is no route through Bewdley due to bridge works. Access is via the by-pass and back down into Bewdley on the other side of the river, turn left at T junction and go through Button Oak.
Kinlet Village Hall, Bewdley, DY12 3AS. Parking is opposite the Eagle & Serpent pub where there are toilets. Parking is free but please park away from the Cafe area. Leisurely
