I found during my pre-walk that forestry workings have restricted the parking availability on Station Road, Scarcliffe. The landlord of the Elm Tree pub, Post Code S44 6TH, has kindly given us permission to use his car park however.  Please also consider parking on Main Street near St Leonard’s Church, post code S44 6TD.

I also discovered a difficulty with a section of my original route.  As a result, the length of the walk with now be just over 8 miles (not 7 as in the programme). The new route is almost a figure of eight however. This means that anyone not wishing to do the full route will be able to shorten the walk to 4 miles or, later, to around 5.5 miles. If you have any queries about these changes, please get in touch.
