Overview

The walk was originally planned as a linear route from Shoeburyness to Leigh-on-Sea (via Southend Pier). However, due to engineering works, there will be no train service between Leigh-on-Sea and Southend Central.

Therefore, this will now be a circular walk starting and finishing in Leigh-on-Sea. We’ll follow the seafront, take in the full length of Southend Pier, and then return and finish in Old Leigh.
Please note there is a £3 fee to walk the pier, and dogs are not permitted on the pier.
