These two walks can follow on or you may decide to do the town walk only (3 1/2 miles). The start, midpoint and finish are all in the car park where we will also have a short break nearby. Leigh is an historic fishing port. There is a hill leading up from the river to the shopping area. The Island is flat walking but may be muddy. We will briefly visit the Bird Lagoons. This leg is 2 1/2 miles
Bring a snack and drink if you wish. The nearest public transport is Leigh Station.
New walkers are welcome to join us without commitment. Guidance dogs only.
