We are the Ipswich and District Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk is about 3.25 miles, an easy stroll, there are no stiles but there is a short incline to walk up.
We set off from Levington Marina going up the access road & then turning on to field footpaths / tracks to Morston Hall, going on to Thorpe Common. We then head south to the River Orwell. There are lovely views of the river & also Loompit Lake. We head back to the start walking along the river & through woodland.
This a short walk ideal for those wishing to see what walking is about. But also for those who love walking!
There is a cafe at Levington Marina so please join us for a drink afterwards, if you wish. Fingers crossed for good weather as there is limited inside seating. They also do food!
Parking is on the access road, head down towards the Marina and park before for you enter the gates. Please ensure you park at an angle to the road (you'll see what I mean when you arrive).
