We are the Brighton and Hove Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting from the station, this circular walk heads for The Pells before leaving by a newly repaired river path to Offham, we then ascend steeply through woodland onto Lewes racecourse where we cross access land above Lewes before heading back into Lewes via the Prison and the cemetery.
Open downland, steep forest trail, a flat river path and some interesting Lewes twittens- a bit of everything! Mud possible.
Walk is timed to finish in good time for walkers to attend (or avoid ) Brighton FC's home game at 3pm.
Paid parking at Lewes Station £7.40 . Great bus and rail links £4 return.
