Overview

A linear walk from the middle of Oxford (Osney Island) where there's free on-street parking and we can walk along the river to Abingdon. From Abingdon we will need to take the bus back to the start point which takes around 20 minutes and a bit of a walk.

The plan is to walk along the Thames however depending on any flooding we may redirect away from the river so please be prepared for the walk to be slightly longer in that case.

Non-Ramblers members are welcome and are able to attend 3 walks before joining the organization.

Please arrive at 10:15am ready to leave at 10:30.

Don't forget that the Botley road is closed further down at the railway bridge - access is fine coming down the Botley road, but you won't be able to drive through town to get to the start point.
