Please note that the start time for this walk is now 09:00, not 10:30 as originally advertised.
We set off from the beautiful village of Little Houghton crossing the cornfields to Billing Aquadrome and on to Washlands. From Washlands we follow the canal into the Brackmills industrial estate. Then we follow the disused railway to Great Houghton and then through more cornfields back to Little Houghton.
The views are spectacular, especially across Washlands which has sheep grazing it so assistance dogs only please.
There is only one stile but there is a six foot high concrete ladder which needs to be climbed. The gate next to it is padlocked and it is not safe to climb. If you are unsteady on your feet or you dont like heights this walk might not be for you. If you would like me to describe it in more detail please give me a ring.
There is on street parking near the church.
