This walk takes in waterfalls, mountains and a disused quarry and hopefully fantastic views and a swim for those that want to.
The route starts and finishes at the base of the Watkin trail to the bridge at the start of the waterfalls, before heading out off the beaten trail of the Watkin to the little explored area of Cwm Merch and the disused mine workings, before heading up to the first summit of the day, Gallt Y Wenallt. Once on the summit the views open up as we walk the ridgeline to the twin summits of Llwiedd before heading down the scramble. At this point, we drop down onto the Watkin trail and return to the waterfall for a possible swim, before we finish the day back at the start point at the car park.
The walk starts and finishes at the car park in Nant Gwynant, cost £5 for the day. There are toilets at this location.
This walk will be subject to weather conditions and subject to change as per any dynamic risk assessments on the day.
