We are the Wigan and District Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a 4 mile circular walk led by Tony taking in the footpaths & wood of the Harrock estate with weather permitting good views over to Rivington & the West Lancashire plain !
As on all local walks well behaved dogs on a lead are very welcome .
There is no designated car parking for this walk but luckily across the road from the start of the fairy glen walk is a lay- by ( postcode WN6 9EQ ) with enough spaces for 15 cars it would be advisable if possible to car share so we can all get a space to park as this lay-by is very popular for people walking the fairy glen route !
Lay- by parking across the road from the fairy glen at the bottom of parbold hill coming past the wrightington hospital
