From Market Weighton the walk follows a disused rail track, then across fields with lovely open views of the Londesborough Estate . The walk then returns via field tracks to Goodmanham where there will be short break for hot drink and snack. We then follow the Hudson Way disused rail track eventually reaching Market Weighton. Some of the paths are muddy and quite slippery; walking pole(s) are highly recommended. There are two relatively easy inclines. Dogs welcome.
It is snowdrop Sunday at Londesborough (10.30am-4pm), unfortunately the field paths to the village are very wet and muddy, and the decision was made to cancel this part of the walk. However walkers will have time after this walk to drive to Londesborough village, enjoy tea and cakes in the Reading Rooms, explore the profusion of snowdrops in the grounds of the old hall and visit the church with it heritage display.
