Leaving Branston we follow the road downhill before joining a bridleway which takes us uphill to Belvoir Road which we follow for half a mile. We then join the Jubilee Way along the wooded Terrace Hills where there are superb views of the Vale of Belvoir. (Coffee stop near the Beacon). (In fact, on a clear day you can see Lincoln Cathedral.) We then enter a very muddy Toft's Lane then cross Belvoir Road and follow the bridleway to Sherricliffe Farm and the Egg Shed. The footpath through the farm is very muddy. Crossing several fields we enter a track which leads uphill into Eaton. Here we will stop for lunch.
We walk through Eaton and join a footpath going downhill crossing several fields before detouring around Bottom Farm and going past Eaton Grange. We follow the road a short way before turning off along a path which leads to a steep staircase out of the old Ironstone quarry. We then cross two fields back into Branston.
