This is a truly beautiful walk through one of Yorkshire's hidden gems of a valley. Our walk will cross moors, farmland, woods and the meandering ancient footpaths and bridleways of Luddenden's past.
Despite being high summer, Calderdale's weather can be notoriously changeable so come prepared for the forecast conditions, particularly footwear as peat moors can be muddy at any time of year. There will be some steep ascents.
This is sensitive moorland for rare ground-nesting birds, so although dogs are welcome, they must be kept on a lead. There will be some stiles.
Bring a packed lunch to enjoy picnic-style.
