We are the New Mills Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

We walk from Lyme View Marina (Poynton) northwards along the towpath with several interesting features along the way, as far as Bridge 13 where we turn east and walk up into Lyme Park, "affording splendid views west over the Cheshire Plain" (unless wet!).
No toilets at start but about half hour into walk can pitstop at Nelsons Pit visitor centre.
We normally stop for a drink after about an hour walking and we stop for lunch at about 12:30 so bring along a hot or cold drink and a packed lunch.
New Mills Coop car park for optional car share to the start.
Wood Lane West, Higher Poynton. Near Junction with Meadowside Close. Parking on the side of the road just before Meadowside. Those going direct to the start to please inform the leader in case of any late changes.
