Hello Everyone
Shropshire beckons this Sunday with a walk from Madeley taking in the industrial Ironbridge Gorge via The Silkin Way, The Ironbridge Way, part of the T50 route, and Madeley Court. One climb after 3.5 miles.
Fancy it? You're welcome to join us all. If you're new to our group it'd be helpful if you could let us know beforehand please. Thank you.
Registration: 09.15. Walk start: 09.30.
Pub afterwards as usual. The Forester's Arms (as in the photos above) just happens to be over the road from the car park. Job's a good 'un!
Directions. Primarily for our own members or anyone arriving via the M54 Junction 4. Satnav or not, be careful as this is Telford with more islands than the South Pacific🏝️🏝️🏝️🤔.
From your location pick up the M54 westbound to Junction 4. Exit slip then left onto A464 for 1.25 miles then turn left at the second island to join the A442 south, direction Bridgnorth. Continue for 1.75 miles to then take the exit slip - which is still the A442 - signed for Bridgnorth and Madeley.
Once down the ramp continue for just 400 yards to leave the A442 at the exit slip onto the A4169 for Madeley. At the island take the 4th exit, pass under the A442, to the next island where 2nd exit onto Kemberton Road. Another island appears 450 yards later where take the 2nd exit onto Legges Way, and immediately turn left into the large car park. Park up on the right once inside.
