A circular walk starting from Margery Wood car park and following the NDW across to the Wray Lane NT site and into and around Gatton Park. The return to Margery Wood is via the Wray Lane NT site, the NDW and the Colley Hill view point. There are a mock Roman temple, a hill top fort and a memorial to crashed WW2 American bomber on the route.
There is a cafe, toilets and seating at the Wray Lane NT site.
Margery Wood car park. Postcode KT20 7BT works better (it is in Margery Lane). Go past the postcode and on to the end of the lane. Parking: free to NT members - use PayByPhone to validate membership. Non-NT members use PayByPhone to pay. Area code 803455 (or phone 0330 060 4037). Install and set up app at home as mobile signal is poor in this area. Or leave NT card on dashboard.
