Overview

Starting from Marsden National Trust car park, we climb up to Butterley Reservoir and Binn Moor. We walk along the ridge with beautiful views and drop down to Wessenden Reservoir. We then follow part of the Pennine Way, past Black Moss Reservoir, across the moor and back to Marsden along part of the Standedge Trail and the canal.

Follow signs for Marsden Railway station and turn up the cobbled street (it looks like you're going to drive onto the railway tracks but you don't!). The lane bends right and the car park is called the National Trust Standedge Car Park. Parking is free but there are no toilets.
