Overview

Starting from Martinsell Hill car park we heard North on footpaths, crossing a dismantled railway line, and the Wansdyke, to reach the outskirts of Marlborough, hopefully with fine views over the town.   We then return through West Woods, Oare and Martinsell hills with more lovely views to be expected.  There may also be spring flowers and bluebells.

There may be livestock en route and sticks may be useful as it may be slippery.  Please bring lunch and refreshments for two stops.
