Overview

This is a circular walk from the village of Marton through the Warwickshire countryside

Wednesday, 19 July 2023
Meeting time:
9:30 am
Start time:
9:45 am
Estimated finish time:
12:45 pm
Difficulty:
Easy
Distance:
8km / 5.0mi
Ascent:
N/A
Type:
circular

The walk is 5 miles of level walking with a few stiles

It is suggested that Ramblers wear long trousers as there is some tall growth in places and 2 barley fields with just the ramblers track to follow.

There are several old stiles that are difficult to negotiate. They sit at an incline and the foot boards are a long way from the ground. A foot bridge is accessed by climbing through 2 horizontal bars set approx 2 ft and 4 ft above the ground. Going over the top is not too easy as the bars are not in the same vertical plane.

In view of the short ride time from Wood Street.  The walk will start from Marton at 9.45.
