This is a mid winter walk and for this reason most of it will be on firm established track or pavement. We will be starting at the George PH then walk from there along the Northampton Road turning right onto the Merry Tom Lane and then onto Brampton Valley Way both of which offer extensive views of unspoilt and beautiful countryside. We will then walk towards the Brampton Holt PH and join Brampton Lane crossing over the Northampton Road (A508) into Pitsford Village which leads to Pitsford reservoir crossing the dam wall and returning to the George PH.
Toilets and car parking are available at the George PH. Brixworth was a Saxon village and also inhabited by the Romans. The surrounding country side is unspoilt with beautiful views across Brampton Valley. RA dogs only please.
