We are the Castle Bromwich Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Come and join this walk through territory associated with JRR Tolkien. We will take the Stratford Canal to Billesley Common (former artillery base), pass through Swanshurst Park (wild fowl), then pass through Moseley Bog (Hobbit link) to Sarehole Mill. from here we will return along the valley of the River Cole through the Shire Country Park and Solihull Lodge.
The walk is level and uses good paths, many surfaced including the canal towpath.

The Drawbridge pub car park. Please park at the far side of the car park We have permission to park here on condition we make purchases after the walk.
