Overview

Starting in Montacute we go past the Abbey, up St Michaels Hill to Prospect Tower. Beautiful views from the top. On along Monarchs Way to Ham Hill and the War Memorial.  Round to Butchers Hill and back past the Medieval village of Witcombe. This is a 5 mile walk with an optional easier 4 mile route.

We had hoped to have tea at the National Trust cafe but unfortunately they will not allow non members in without paying their entry fee. NT members will need their cards if they still want to use the cafe.

Meet at The Borough, Montacute TA15 6XB, in the triangle opposite The Phelips Arms. If there is no room to park in the triangle, National Trust members could use the nearby car park for Montacute House.
