We are the High Weald Walkers Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk affords some of the best views over the Ashdown Forest and is an approximate figure-of-eight. As such, it could be suitable for those who would like a shorter walk. The first loop (3 miles) takes us from Ridge carpark down to Tabell Ghyll and along the stream before wending back upwards towards Ridge car park and then along to the Ashdown Forest Visitor Centre where we will have our coffee break (expected time of arrival 10.40). The second half descends steeply before rising more gently back up to the carpark. Conditions along Tabell Ghyll are likely to be still very muddy and tangled tree roots could provide a trip hazard. Sticks and waterproof boots recommended!

Park at RIDGE car park on Coleman's Hatch Road, RH18 5JP. NB: Ashdown Forest parking charges apply. If driving northwards up the A22, turn right at Wych Cross. Ridge carpark is on the right after approximately one mile and is opposite to Lintons.
