Start point is Tamar Trails Activity Centre car park. Postcode is PL19 8JE and grid reference SX438725. Cost for parking for the whole day is £2.40 in cash. There are toilets and a cafe which will hopefully be open at the weekend. This walk will be cancelled if high winds. Distance is 8.5 miles and terrain is moderate with some muddy sections if weather bad beforehand. 1 stream to cross with stepping stones, woodland and riverside paths mainly and we will be walking partly along the now disused mineral railway track. Points of interest are viewpoints over the Tamar Valley from Chimney Rock and Morwell Rock, Devon Great Consuls mineral railway, Morwellham Quay and the south portal tunnel for Tavistock canal. Lots of mining and railway history. Bring food, drink and boots. Poles might be useful on the muddy section and crossing the stream. Some ascents but nothing too steep Julie 07476 124883
