We are the Hike on Lancashire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From the pretty village of Austwick the walk takes us through Oxenburgh Wood to the hamlet of Wharfe. We then continue to one of the largest limestone pavements in the UK – Moughton Scar before returning to Austwick via the Norber Erratics a collection of carboniferous limestone and sandstone boulders that were moved by the ice age glaciers created by weather erosion.
While classed as a moderate walk, extra care will need to be taken walking on the limestone pavements.
Allow time to park. Street parking in Austwick. Please be considerate to locals.
