We are the Eastwood Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a varied walk with a mixture of country and town walking.
We walk from Murrayfield Stadium on the Waters of Leith path to Colinton. We incorporate Saughton Park, Visitor Centre at Slateford, Colinton & Craiglockhart Dells and Colinton Church where R L Stevenson’s grandfather was a Minister and also a decorated colourful rail tunnel with creative murals.
On return journey at Slateford we take the Union Canal towpath back to Haymarket Station where our walk ends.
Walk mainly on good paths with some undulation

There are toilet facilities at Saughton Park and Waters of Leith Visitor Centre at Slateford. Those that have a bus pass please remember to bring for free travel. Otherwise, the bus fare is currently £10.00 return. Please contact Valerie or myself if you are travelling independently.
