We leave the village of Nettlebed and head up Windmill Hill through the woods and along Berrick trench to Kitesgrove Wood and Warberg Nature Reserve, where we can see the visitor centre before using a quiet road to the ancient site of St James Church, where we will stop for a short break. Continuing to Bix Bottom, then uphill, where there will be views over the valley, to Bix. Crossing fields and woods to tudor Greys Court, where we have lunch. We then head to Holly Grove and Highmoor Common Wood before returning to Nettlebed, passing Joyce Grove, once owned by the family of Ian Fleming.
Please dress according to the weather on the day. We walk through a number of woods and open fields, so paths may be muddy and slippery. There will be some road walking, so care will be needed.
Please bring food and drink for the day
Numbers are not limited but please book on line at the website link, by 6pm, Wednesday, 19 November.
There will be the opportunity after the walk for refreshments at The Cheese Shed and a visit the Pudding Stones and old Kiln in the village.
