Overview

Join me for a sociable stroll along the seafront eastwards towards East Beach in Shoeburyness and back, taking in the sea views with the option of a convivial New Year's Day drink at the Castle pub on the sea front, near the starting point. We will start from the free car park in Southchurch Park, with additional free, road parking possible around the park perimeter.

This walk will be leisurely, on mainly level terrain on the promenade and some gravel paths. Wrap up warmly as it may be chilly along the seafront. There are toilet facilities along the route and a stop for refreshments in East Beach. Bring your own flask in case the cafes aren't open.
