We are the Hike Essex Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a Dengie coastal walk along the River Crouch. It starts from North Fambridge and finishes at the pretty river town of Burnham on Crouch. We return from Burnham on Crouch to North Fambridge via train.
Parts of the walk maybe muddy, so walking boots / shoes are recommended. There will be a lunch stop, so please bring a packed lunch. There will also be the option of a pub stop at the end.
**Update - unfortunately trains won't be running on the day of the walk, but there will be a bus replacement service to take us back to North Fambridge. I have also altered the start time, so walkers can journey from Burnham on Crouch in time for the start.
Places are limited and need to be prebooked with the walk leader.
The group walks at steady pace of 2.5 miles an hour and walkers are required to respect the group pace.
Meeting point is North Fambridge railway station. Parking fee is £4.40 and this can be paid via the NCP app.
