Overview

The walk starts from The Sun Inn Car Park, North Wheatley. We Head for Wheatley Grange and Clayworth Woodhouse, up to Lovers Lane towards Gringley.  From here we descend via tracks to Lords Wood and into Clayworth. Then follow the Chesterfield Canal to Clayworth Bridge, then ascend Mill Lane, following the Trent Valley way back to Wheatley.

From Retford take A620 Gainsborough Road to Clarborough and North Wheatley. As you approach Wheatley the A620 becomes a dual carriageway. Take the first right turn into Wheatley and next right into car park (please park just after the pub on right hand side)
