We are the Rother Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Join us in Northiam, we head off towards Beckley, a tiny bit of road walking , mainly footpaths through woodlands and fields. We take in part of the High Weald Landscape trail. There are several stiles and gentle slopes. A moderate paced walk of about 3 hours. Some wonderful views as we near Rye. The walk ends at the bus station where you can catch a 313 bus back to Northiam. Alternatively we will probably enjoy a drink in a local, maybe a bite to eat too, you are welcome to join us or explore beautiful Rye before catching the bus back.
Meeting at the Drs car park off Main Street, there are no WC facilities, parking is free.
well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome.
En-route we will stop somewhere for a picnic snack and drink.
The 313 bus route back is from Rye rail Station, Stand C. They are not frequent, currently times shown are 1358hrs, 1538hrs, 1700hrs and 1805hrs. ( Please check as the timetable schedules as on different sites times were different) Get off the bus at the primary school bus stop in Northiam.
