Overview

A 14km / 8.7 moderate (Grade C) walk following Offa's Dyke for part of the way, and then up Moel Gyw in the Clwydian hills. Moel Gyw, just to the south of Moel Famau rises to 1,532 ft and has wonderful views of Eryri on a clear day, the Vale of Clwyd and the Clwydian hills.

Please bring a packed lunch and note the earlier start time of 9.30am as we are getting close to the shortest day of the year!

The starting point is the free parking at layby on A494 near Plymog Farm, 0.5 miles south of Llanferres, on the Mold to Ruthin Road.
